Guess what I'm doing next week. (Besides eating a glazed doughnut or two and contemplating for the bajillionth time how awesome Billy Joel is.)
I'm going to the Grand Canyon!
And I'm going to run!
And hopefully it will be 100 miles.
Ultra Adventures, the fine folks who put on the Zion 100, Bryce 100, Antelope Canyon, and Monument Valley races are putting on the inaugural Grand Canyon Ultras (50k, 50 miler, and 100 miler) next weekend, May 17th.
I've only hit a few of the touristy spots of Grand Canyon so I'm excited to see some views of the canyon that are off the beaten path.
This is my friend Rick Whitelaw standing on the rim of one of the overlooks. Let me tell you something amigo: I can't wait to be standing here myself checking out these views with my own two eyes.
I am positive that my camera will get plenty of use during this race. I'm so excited for this epically awesome adventure!
Good luck & I hope you have a blast! Can't wait to hear all about it!
ReplyDeleteYou lost me at "how awesome Billy Joel is" lol But really, HAVE FUN Cory! Can't wait for the race report!
ReplyDeleteI love your Blog! You are so inspiring. I'm running my first full in June, and on hard mental days I seriously think to myself that if Fast Cory can run all of these 100 mile races, I can finish 26.2 at least once. Keep the inspiration coming!!
ReplyDeleteGood luck and have fun!
ReplyDeleteWhen we visited the Grand Canyon, I did a little running there and would love to do something like this. What a fun experience!
