The Finisher Belt Buckles
I think these are easily the coolest belt buckles ever. Each one is unique with wild flowers taken from the course. I have a belt that needs one of these. Here are a few of my favorites:
The Post Race Party
Barbecue, live music, and then the movie Unbreakable on the IMAX movie screen. I don't have a beard or long hair so I hope I don't feel too out of place.
The Zion 100 could still use some volunteers during the race on April 19-20. No experience needed. The only requirements are 1) You must be awesome, and 2) You must be ready for a good time. You have a front row seat to all the ultramarathon action. If you'd like to help, you can email glacierbears@yahoo.com or thezion100@gmail.com . I hope to see you there!
I would seriously have a hard time picking which buckle to get...I am going to enviously drool over those suckers every waking minute I'm there. So jealous. But not enough to run the 100 - bahahah.
ReplyDeleteI hope I can stay awake for some post-race festivities.
And seriously, if there's anything I can do for you guys on Thursday or during the time I am bored to death in between crew points, I'd love to help. Please pass my info along to the right people.
2 weeks - hooray!!
Those are awesome buckles! I would totally volunteer if I was in the area! It sounds like so much fun, and I TOTALLY fit all the requirements.
ReplyDeleteI saw a preview of that movie and it looks awesome! You still have time to grow a beard! Work on it! You can do anything you set your mind to!
Those are so beautiful! I think the blue with the yellow flowers may be my favorite.
ReplyDeleteYou do know you have to grow a beard to be a real ultramarathoner, right? I'm working on mine...
Those belt buckles are seriously so awesome! I am racing SLC half that weekend or else I would love to volunteer.
ReplyDeleteYou are incredibly for running back to back 100 milers...like seriously who does that!
Gah. I wish I could volunteer! That would be so much fun. And I've always wanted to visit Zion. Well, except for when we were actually in Utah and I opted for a rest day instead of driving from Bryce to Zion for the day.
ReplyDeleteGood luck!! Those buckles are pretty cool! I would love to volunteer if I lived anywhere at all near there, but yes, it'd be a heck of a commute from Kansas City.
ReplyDeleteTwo weeks?? Ay, yi, yi!! How in the world?? I know you have the mental strength and endurance and will power to do anything you want to. Will this be your third zion's?? I was wondering if all those belt buckles were yours but then I thought that the zion's 100 isn't that old yet.
ReplyDeleteCool belt buckles! It must be a cool race if they are that cool! Good luck!
ReplyDeleteThe belt buckles are great! It's a real wildflower embedded in it isn't it? That's such a good idea.
ReplyDeleteHey Cory,
