I DID IT!

I survived the 101.4 miles of the Javelina Jundred! It was by far the most difficult, humbling, defining, rewarding experience of my life.

Even though my sweet wife snapped the picture a little too early, I DID jump across the finish line.


Give me a day to make sense of everything in my brain and I will have the whole race review and lots of pictures posted tomorrow. (I admit, I slept with this belt buckle last night.)

  13. Not only did you jump across the finish line after 101.4 miles, but also at each lap... You gave a pretty sweet jump after 15 miles, 30 miles, 45 miles, 60 miles, 85 miles, and 101.4 miles. INCREDIBLE!

  25. So proud of you! There was a while there when your name wasn't on list on the webcast and I freaked out, but then I saw your name and the 101.4 and cheered! I've been checking a couple of times a day to see your recap. So many of us want DETAILS! We are definitely living vicariously through you. Jumping on every loop and the finish line---Incredible!

  30. I tried to comment last night, but the stupid machine I was on at work wouldn't let me. How amazing is that!! I would absolutely sleep with that belt buckle--I hope you did. I can't wait to read your full report. I hope those javalinas didn't get ya at mile 67 or something like that. I remember those buggers from camping in West Texas.....
